Service Description

This course (2, three-hour sessions) empowers professionals to understand how to predict, prevent, and effectively respond to behavioral escalations, tantrums, and aggression of young children and adolescents. The TEMPER3-ED Curriculum is an evidenced-based curriculum that integrates sound instructional and behavioral support principles into a model that ensures program, class-wide and individual student supports are coordinated to teach, prompt and reinforce desired emotional regulation skills, and promotes social emotional growth. The TEMPER3-ED approach ensures professionals maintain a safe environment for themselves and students, and drastically reduce the need for physical interventions. Participants will learn how their professional practices are influenced by children’s escalations as well as develop strategies to prevent and respond in ways that promote good emotional regulation skills, and maintain the safety of all children and adults.
